Just about everywhere you go in St Augustine is incredible, so finding the best place to propose can be kind of difficult. St Augustine is full of places to propose and do engagement photos. Some of these locations are quiet, some are on the water, some have great views, all are historic, and all are unforgettable. Each of these locations are chosen for a good reason.
Note: Some locations on this list may require permission or permits.
The Lightner Museum has a beautiful courtyard with a koi pond in the middle. Going over the pond is a bridge that makes the perfect romantic spot to get on one knee. This location is also very quiet and private. The hours of the courtyard are 9 to 5 everyday of the week, and this courtyard is also a wedding venue. This location does require a permit.

This location has to be one of the most iconic locations in all of St Augustine. There is no way to visit the city and not check out the fort. This fort was built over 300 years ago and has since become a national park. There are many locations around the fort to propose. On top of the hills are a great choice as well as the waterfront.

The sea wall has a great view along the water. You have a view of the many sailboats as well as the Bridge of Lions. Once you get closer to the bridge there is a wider grass area, and you can visit the marble lion statues. The sea wall starts at the fort and goes all the way down to St Francis Street.

The St Augustine Lighthouse is the perfect engagement spot. The top of the lighthouse has views of everything, you can see the ocean, intercoastal, and downtown. Proposing at the top can be a magical spot as long as you aren’t scared of heights and can hold on to the ring. If you aren’t into the heights you have many locations on the ground within sight of the lighthouse.
